Abstract
In this contribution, an efficient active power filter (APF) technique in phase coordinates is proposed, which can mitigate the harmonics generated by nonlinear components and loads. It avoids the transformation between different frameworks and allows a control circuit design to be relatively simpler and easier to implement. The effective operation of the proposed APF is demonstrated and the potentials are illustrated with a case study.
