Abstract
Methods which have been developed to design multilayered dielectric devices at normal incidence are applied to multilayered chiral devices because of the analogy existing in this case in the reflection coefficients of these two structures. Two examples are given: an antireflection coating on a low index substrate for which the plane of polarisation of the transmitted wave is rotated and a high reflector for which the reflectance zone is enhanced and the number of periods reduced.
