Abstract :
The first hybrid realisation of the recently introduced cascade-match reflection-type phase shifter is reported. The two-stage topology employs 1-19 GHz microstrip 3 dB directional couplers and MMIC reflection terminations. With the first prototype embedded in a nonideal test fixture, the measured results demonstrate its high level of performance across the 1-19 GHz frequency range.
