Abstract :
The mobile Manufacturing Technologies Laboratory (MTL), a program that takes technology education to students, is described. The program was introduced by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) consortium, a public and private partnership whose goal is to improve US competitiveness through collaborative R&D, in 1992. Twelve modules have been developed: CAD, CAM, computerized numerical control (CNC), robotics, lasers, logos, packaging, biosphere, habitat, structures, anthropometry, and time.<>
