  • Abstract
In the winter when coal is stationary or builds up on sloped surfaces, the coal will freeze to hopper and chute walls. The plugged equipment then leads to expensive deratings or complete shutdowns of generating units. Rugged electric heating modules have been proven to efficiently melt the ice bonds and eliminate pluggage caused by freezeups. These heating modules are engineered to withstand continuous shock loading and to provide reliable long-term operation
