            Abstract : 
A dynamic chromatic-dispersion-compensation system is implemented with a residual chromatic-dispersion monitoring module based on self-frequency shift effects in a semiconductor optical amplifier. Experimental results show that the compensation range of the system is 100 ps/nm and the residual chromatic dispersion of the transmission link is less than 5 ps/nm.
