Abstract :
A simple method for the approximation of an all-pole transfer function directly in the digital domain for the design of recursive digital filters is described. The transfer function of these filters, referred to as transitional Butterworth-Chebyshev filters, has properties that lie between Butterworth and Chebyshev functions.
