Abstract :
An active tunable bandpass filter based upon the negative resistance method using a microstrip combline network is presented. The negative resistance is realised using a common-drain series feedback structure. 0.4 octave tuning with significant improvement in passband performance was achieved and the noise performance was comparable with its passive counterpart.
