Abstract :
A 2.5 Gbit/s burst mode optical receiver with novel feedforward created reset for Ethernet passive optical network systems is presented. By creating an internal reset in a feedforward configuration, the circuit fabricated in a 0.18 m CMOS technology achieves a fast response time of less than 10 ns including the reset creation time.
