  • Abstract
    A novel chirp measurement technique is proposed, using two-photon absorption, requiring no synchronisation against measured optical signals and which can be easily utilised at bit rates exceeding 100 Gbit/s. The concept was successfully demonstrated by using Si avalanche photodiodes as two-photon absorbers.
