Abstract :
A five-node all-optical WDM mesh test-bed with a distributed control plane is described. The performance of this metro-scaled network is experimentally evaluated against physical impairments such as cross-saturation, frequency chirping, dispersion, spectral clipping, crosstalk, and amplifier noise.
