Abstract :
The worldwide development of thousands of terrestrial broadcasting networks over the past 90 years depended crucially upon the prediction and measurement of radio field strength. The coverage of these services was quantified by the signal/noise ratio at the receiving end, information needed to specify the transmitting sites, radiated powers, antenna heights, and frequency allocations. The paper discusses about the importance of field strength prediction and its changeover plan.
