Abstract
A new technique for the discrimination of sets of damped sinusoids based on using a moving-average system is proposed. The approach described is constructed using some a priori knowledge about an input signal; it is very simple in its structure. One of its advantages over those known to be used nowadays is the possibility of processing signal segments of a short duration. Results of computer simulations of discriminating sets of several damped sinusoids are presented.<>
