Abstract :
A new rate adaptation algorithm for block acknowledgment is presented with which a station chooses the best transmission rate in a given channel condition among multiple physical rates. The proposed algorithm achieves accurate channel estimation and fast responsiveness to time-varying channels with reduced performance degradation from wrong rate change by allowing heterogeneous rates in a block.
