Abstract :
A fringe-counting wavemeter for infrared laser diodes in the 1550-nm region is developed. The wavemeter has a servo-controlled plain-moving mirror instead of a corner cube. A large beam diameter as well as good beam quality enables accurate wavelength comparisons between the visible 1550-nm regions
