Abstract
A summary of the installation, design, and performance of regional area networks in New York City and Dallas, TX, is presented. The New York regional network provides carriage of multichannel video information to be used for programming of Warner Cable´s CATV franchise in Queens, NY. The Dallas regional network provides a DS-3 for facsimile transmission of news photographs by the Dallas Morning News Corporation.
