Abstract :
A scattered-field formulation for finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) computation of stratified dispersive layers with a unified treatment of layers simply as any other scatterers is presented. We verified the resulting calculated local field values to the analytic solutions to assess the percentile error in the calculations. The near-field accuracy of less than 5% is achieved for an oblique incident angle at 45°.
