Abstract :
An MSW (magnetostatic-wave) SER oscillator has been designed and characterized, exhibiting good performances for X-band applications. Acceptable Qext values (up to 3600), tunability, and good pushing characteristics have been obtained. The tunability performances have been extended between 7.5 GHz and 11 GHz by increasing the RF coupling factor and without comprising oscillator low noise characteristics, which is the correct tradeoff when high spectral purity and broadband tunability are both required. Output powers between +5 dBm and +15 dBm have been measured
