Abstract
In the early 1970s, researchers at Phytox Corporation of College Station were looking for an environmentally friendly solution to the weed problem. They built a prototype machine with microwave radiator that is bulky and expensive to construct. Recently, a machine with similar concept is under development in the Department of Agriculture at University of Podova, Italy. This article presents an overview of this machine for controlling weeds
