            Abstract : 
The transient stability of a NbTi cable-in-conduit conductor cooled by supercritical helium was experimentally investigated by inductively heating the conductor for short time durations. The analysis was carried out by deriving a heat-transfer coefficient, having transient and quasi-steady state components, which is shown to be consistent with heat-transfer data.
