  • Abstract
    In a wide-gap semiconductor or insulator containing deep donors and acceptors, the electron exchange between donor-acceptor pairs can be made to proceed in either direction A → D or D → A by applying, removing, or reversing a high electric field. Different emission spectra are expected in the three cases.
