Abstract :
The results of an experimental investigation of field distributions in Aroclor 1242(R) are presented. It is shown that both time average and instantaneous values of the electric field between plane parallel aluminum electrodes can be described by an exponential relationship for a range of electrode spacings. The influence of spacers and differing electrode materials are reported. The results are explained in terms of positive ion movement under electrohydrodynamic forces.
