Abstract :
The authors summarise the results of a 1 year measurement of earth-space radiowave amplitude scintillation using the Olympus satellite 20 GHz beacon signal received at Sparsholt (51.585°N. 1.5033°W), UK at a path elevation of 28.74°. The diurnal and seasonal trends of scintillation intensity are discussed. A generalised semi-empirical model is obtained, which gives excellent fit to the observed cumulative distribution of scintillation intensity
