Abstract :
Chaotic instability of a varactor circuit with a quasiperiodic excitation is studied. It is shown that, compared to single frequency forcing, a quasiperiodic input, such as an amplitude modulated signal, causes a considerable drop in the threshold for chaotic onset. Analytical conditions for chaos to arise are also obtained
