Paper - Oil Insulation - New Definition of Damage

Results obtained in paper insulation tests have led to a new definition of the damage as D = K (Vn t)á, when the appearance of partial discharges with 25 pC of apparent charge is used aa a failure criteration. It is suggested that the proposed expression for damage can be generalized to the aging of soild insulators if the criterion of total failur of specimens is adopted.
