            Abstract : 
The authors report the generation of tunable, CW, X-band microwave radiation using optical mixing in an AlxGa1-xAs optical waveguide. Two optical frequencies from CW, Nd-YAG ring lasers are mixed to obtain microwave radiation between 7 and 13 GHz
