Abstract :
A new Fabry-Perot amplifier model is established based on parameters extracted from the injection-locking rate equations to explain the resonance frequency enhancement and the small-signal frequency response behavior of injection-locked vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers. Simulations using this amplifier model in conjunction with injection-locking rate equations show excellent agreement with the experimental results.
