  • Abstract
    The authors studied a DC hybrid three-phase fault current limiting interrupter composed of a superconducting reactor and an S/N transition element, connected in series each other. This device has the capability of interruption of a limited fault current. In this paper, the experiments on this device with a test model are described and compared with analyses. A proper combination of a reactor coil and an S/N transition element is also discussed for 6.6 kV-2000 A power systems.
