Abstract :
A tunable lead-tin selenide diode laser has been used to measure the infrared absorption spectrum of methyl fluoride in the 9- to 10-μm wavelength region. The absorption lines have been identified in accordance with the symmetric top model. The results obtained with the diode laser measurement techniques employed in this investigation are compared with those of related previous experiments.
