Abstract :
The development of a low-cost and high-performance Group-III facsimile machine for home use is described. The microprocessor-based facsimile machine uses a compression expansion processor (CEP) to code and decode the document. A hand-held scanner and its interface card are used to interface to the system board. A new program was written to control the functions of the scanner
