Abstract :
The expressions for the secondary frequencies secondary current, and secondary resonance current of electrostatically coupled circuits are derived theoretically. The system is shown to be practically mono-frequent even for fairly close coupling between primary and secondary circuits. The results obtained are compared with the corresponding expressions for inductive coupling. In a practical numerical example, it is found that the secondary resonance currents in the two cases are of the same order of magnitude but that the electrostatic coupling yields superior sharpness of resonance.
