Abstract
Since there is no treble lost from the amplifier to the head, less treble boost is required from the recording amplifier. Furthermore, because of the high-output impedance characteristic of the amplifier, a capacitor can be used to resonate with the head inductor to obtain treble boost. The result is a wide frequency response, a better signal to noise ratio (S/N), and less distortion
