Abstract :
In HTS rotating systems, it is possible for HTS bulk to be subjected to rotating magnetic fields due to various inhomogeneities. The dynamic response of HTS will strongly affect the operating characteristics. In this paper, we rely on flux dynamics to study the magnetic behavior of HTS bulk in a rotating field. The flux evolution, the possible electromagnetic oscillation, the effect of the anisotropy and the role of transverse rotating-field component are qualitatively discussed. The associated losses are derived from numerical simulation.
