Abstract :
An experimental method based on the simultaneous use of two fluxmeters for measuring demagnetizing factors is developed and tested in circular cylinders and plates. The true demagnetizing factor is obtained and compared with the numerical results for ideal cases. While the discussion refers mainly to circular cylinders and plates, the scheme is adaptable to specimens of other shapes
