Abstract :
The structure and the basic operations of a new orthogonal-core type motor, which can effectively utilize local energies such as wind and solar power are described. For this motor, the rotational direction, rotational speed and supplied powers are easily controlled by adjusting the phase angle between the primary and secondary voltages. The motor can be used as a speed controlling device or a multifunctional power controlling device in industrial applications and power conversion systems
