Abstract
The operation of a zero-flux type current sensor that uses negative feedback through the magnetic circuit is analyzed. By focusing on the intrinsic current transformer-like operation of the sensor, the principal mechanism of operation is clarified. It is noted that this type of sensor has high-performance characteristics which are not achieved with conventional sensors. Analytical results agree well with experimental ones
