Abstract :
An experimentally measured reduction of 4:1 in the amplitude fluctuation of an optically pumped CW-submillimeter wave laser was achieved using a mirror, vibrating at audio frequencies, to decouple the pump beam reflected back to a CO2pump laser. An expression is derived for the peak frequency deviation of the pump laser due to a phase modulated feedback signal.
