Abstract :
The characteristics of a fast discharge HF chemical laser are described. A Blumlein pulse forming line is used with a resistive cathode (50 Ω . cm resistivity germanium). Uniform arc-free discharges have been obtained in gas mixtures of SF6/H2/Ar, SF6/C2H6/Ar, and SF6/C3H8/Ar with electrode separations up to 5.2 cm.
