Abstract :
Evaporated ZnS: Mn, Cu dc EL devices have been characterized. The electrical conduction process is interpreted in terms of the presence of a heterojunction that has been created after the forming process. The influence of transparent electrode resistivity on the operation of the device is also discussed. Switching behavior that is observed in the current-voltage characteristic is described in terms of the filling and emptying of trapping centers. Finally, the necessary technology for an XY dot matrix display free of cross talk is presented.
