Abstract :
The concept of the kinetic compensation effect, known from the literature of chemical reaction kinetics, has been extended to the field of insulation aging. Observations on data available in the electrotechnical literature are reported concerning the linear correlation (aging compensation effect: ACE) between the regression coefficients ¿ (ordinate intercepts) and b (slopes) of life lines derived by measuring different properties, or by different measurements of the same material. It is proposed here to introduce ACE for the interpretation of life data and the further study of this phenomenon.
