Abstract
Experimental investigations have been carried out on specimens mens of polyethylene sheets and foil. Polyethylene was subjected to different types of aging which produced a variety of internal degenerative effects. Subsequently, various electrical properties of aged and unaged specimens were measured. Associated structural changes in the polyethylene were determined by means of infrared spectrophotometric analyses. The relationships between the structural and electrical changes were determined.
