Abstract :
We outline the design of the transputer network used as the data acquisition and second level trigger engine for the Backing Calorimeter of the ZEUS experiment at DESY. The system consists at present of 32 INMOS T800 processors working in the VME bus environment. The conceptual design of the processor network and software is presented
