  • Abstract
Two methods are proposed for effectively reducing the difference in dynamic characteristics among superconducting magnets for particle accelerators. The basic principle can be derived from the results of a dynamic analysis. Equalization of the voltage of magnets, not the current, leads to reduction of the field difference. The first method, the passive method, requires only the connection of an adequate value of resistance parallel to the magnet. The second is the active method which uses a compensation power supply. The passive method is applied to our machine and the 20% field deviation during acceleration is reduced to 0.5%; 1/40 of the uncorrected value
