Abstract
Discusses how to get people and technology to work together. Most people see the software crisis as a reality in software development, but the real problem isn´t the software crisis. The real problem is that managers aren´t in synchronization with practitioners. Long ago, the software world moved through the looking glass into Wonderland, in which proposed breakthrough solutions resemble the conversations at the Mad Hatter´s tea party. What we should be doing is finding our way back to the other side, where the real solutions are, yet we seem content to wander from technique to technique looking for one that will make us just the right size to fit through the keyhole.<>
