Abstract
By reducing the 24 visible laser lines of a HeSe+ laser (1 m length, 2 mm bore) to the lines 460.4, 517.6, and 649.0 nm with a special 3 color resonator, a white laser beam with 3 mW CW output is realized. Proper engineering of the HeSe+ laser reduces noise to 1 percent rms and extends lifetime to more than 1000 h.
