Abstract :
Surfing the net on the topic of time management will yield a number of Web sites that offer methods for organizing your time, often in such a way that enables you to mark each item on your to-do list with a check mark. While grad students can´t control the passage of time, they can control the way in which time is spent. Obtaining that control begins by assessing how time is spent on tasks, and identifying where time is wasted. To make that assessment, the Web sites recommend that students maintain an activity log. Maintaining such a log involves analyzing an average day in terms of the tasks done and the time that is spent accomplishing each task and making note of that information in the log. An activity log should also include a measurement of how you value the importance of each task.
