A Time for Reflection: Looking back on the accomplishments of 2013 [The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly: Engineering FACTS]

The start of the year is always one of reflection and planning. In reflecting on 2013, everything seems to have rushed by incredibly quickly. We ended the year with over 450 affinity groups that conducted 800+ inspirational outreach activities, engaging professional workshops, or advancing networking events around the world. I want to thank our wonderful 2013 IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Committee and global volunteers who helped us accomplish much and worked to lay a strong foundation of new initiatives. In planning for 2014, I welcome the energetic 2014 WIE volunteers who have committed to help shape the WIE program and expand our impact worldwide. Thank you for your continued engagement. I wish you the best as we celebrate WIE´s 20th anniversary.
