Abstract :
In this paper we assess the effect of substrate temperature on the isotopic selectivity and dissociation yield of multiphoton dissociation of hexafluoroacetone and trifluoromethyl chloride. In the former molecule, the temperature effects are due to the contribution of vibrational hot bands; in the latter, these effects are overlaid on the kinetic mechanism resulting in a loss of yield of carbon-13 bearing products.
