Abstract :
A differential QPSK modulator operating at a centre frequency of 847.5 MHz and an input data rate of 25 Mbit/s is described. The modulator incorporates a simple differential encoder design that interfaces directly to the RF section without the need for special driver circuitry. The RF section uses modular ´building block´ components that can be changed relatively easily to support a wide range of centre frequencies.
