Abstract :
A new Rochelle salt microphone has been developed for use as a secondary standard i n production testing, sound level measurements, high quality transmission of sound, and similar applications. The diameter of the new microphone (lx inch) is half the diameter of similar units in current use. Frequency response, directional characteristics, and moisture protection have been improved without a significant l o s s in sensitivity.
